Three people charged with murder - Milton Keynes


Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge three people with the murder of a man in Milton Keynes.

Gnanachandran Balachandran, aged 37, of The Fleet, Springfield, Milton Keynes, Kiroraj Yogarajah, aged 30, of Dunthorne Way, Grange Farm, Milton Keynes, and 17-year-old boy from Croydon, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were all charged today, Tuesday, 24 January 2017, with murder.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against three people.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge all three people with murder.

"The charges are in connection with the death of Suren Sivananthan, aged 32, who was found deceased in St Leger Drive, Great Linford, Milton Keynes just after 4am on Saturday, 21 January 2017.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

All three people have been remanded in police custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court today, Tuesday, 24 January 2017.
