The pre-election period

Parliament ends today, Monday 30 March 2015. The time between now and the general election on 07 May 2015, is called ‘the pre-election period’ and the Civil Service, including the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), communicates less, in line with the General Election Guidance.

So you now won't be hearing much from CPS Thames and Chiltern in the five weeks running up to the election, unless it's to provide information essential to continuing our day-to-day work. That doesn't mean we're not doing anything; our work will continue through the pre-election period, we just won't be talking about it much in the run-up to the election.

Normal service will resume post-election.
