Teenager charged with murder - Aylesbury


Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a teenager with the murder of a man in Aylesbury.

Brandon Lavender, aged 18, of Brompton Close, Aylesbury, was charged last night, Wednesday, 18 January 2017, with murder.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Brandon Lavender.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Brandon Lavender with murder.

"The charge is in connection with the death of Daniel Lavender, aged 26, who was found injured inside a property in Brompton Close, Aylesbury, at about 10.50am on Monday, 16 January 2017.  He was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where he sadly died in the early hours of Tuesday, 17 January 2017.  A post mortem determined the cause of death as complications from a stab wound to the abdomen.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Brandon Lavender was remanded in police custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates Court this morning, Thursday, 19 January 2017.
