Teenager charged with attempted robbery of a man in Maidenhead


A teenager will appear before Slough Magistrates’ Court today (15/8) charged with the attempted robbery of a man in Maidenhead.

James Haggis, 18, of Spurt Green, Holyport, Maidenhead, was arrested yesterday (14/8) and later charged, on the advice of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

The charge relates to an incident in Braywick Road, Maidenhead, during the early hours of Sunday morning at 12.55am. The victim, a 45 year-old man from Maidenhead, was walking home with other family members.

He was approached from behind by Haggis, who demanded his wallet and phone. Police were called and the man was restrained until they arrived.
