Serial flasher sentenced - Luton
25/05/2012
A serial flasher from Luton in Bedfordshire has been banned from going into any park in the country for the next three years.
Peter Rusinko was made the subject of the restraining order on Friday, 25 May 2012, after a court heard how he had repeatedly exposed himself to women and young girls in a park near his home in the town.
Rusinko, 27, of Old Bedford Road, Luton pleaded guilty at Luton Crown Court to 16 charges of exposure and asked for six similar offences to be considered. The court was told they took place between 2010 and 2011.
Most took place in Popes Meadow, a park area near to the defendants home. Other offences took place in the Bushmead area of Luton as well as Chesham Road in Berkhamstead, Hertfordshire.
His victims ranged from young girls to mature women.
Andrew King defending Rusinko blamed his behaviour on a "breakdown" following the discovery that the man he had always thought was his father, was not. He had started drinking and taking drugs and the behaviour began.
Rusinko was given a three year community order during which he will be under the supervision of the probation service.
Judge Michael Baker QC told him that for the next three years he was banned from entering any public park.
His name will also go on the sex offender's register for the next five years.
