Second man charged with murder - Slough

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a second man with murder and violent disorder following an incident in Slough, earlier this month.

Aidan Wall, aged 25, of Gordon Road,  Camberley, Surrey, has been charged with the murder of Kamran Maman, who was assaulted in Brammas Close at about 3am on Saturday, 18 May.

Mr Maman, who was 36-years-old and from Slough, was initially taken to Wexham Park Hospital for treatment, before being transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he died as a result of his injuries on Monday, 20 May.

Baljit Ubhey OBE, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Aidan Wall.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Wall with murder and violent disorder.

"The charges are in relation to the murder of a 36-year-old man in Brammas Close, Slough, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 18 May 2013.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Wall has been remanded in police custody to appear before Reading Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Saturday, 01 June 2013.
