Second man charged with murder - Milton Keynes

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a second man with the murder of a man in Milton Keynes.

Albert Prempeh, aged 29, from Milton Keynes, was charged in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 20 September 2016, with murder and possession of an immitation firearm.

The charge is in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of last Tuesday, 13 September 2016, at a property in Osprey Close, Eaglestone during which 19-year-old Suhaib Mohammed was shot. He was taken to the Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was declared dead just after 7am.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Albert Prempeh.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Albert Prempeh with murder and possession of an immitation firearm.

"The charge is in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of last Tuesday, 13 September 2016, at a property in Osprey Close, Eaglestone during which 19-year-old Suhaib Mohammed was shot. He was taken to the Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was declared dead just after 7am.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Prempeh has been remanded in police custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court this morning, Tuesday, 20 September 2016.
