Man pleads not guilty to murder - Bishop's Stortford


A man appeared at St Albans Crown Court, via video link from Woodhill Prison today, Tuesday, 30 September 2014, charged with the murder of Sally Campion.

Matthew Keough, aged 44, pleaded not guilty to murder, but admitted breaching a restraining order by going to Sally's home in Bartholomew Road, Bishop's Stortford on 02 July.

Sally Campion, aged 45, was found at her home at 10.45pm on 02 July with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she died in the early hours of 03 July.  A post mortem examination revealed the cause of death to be head injuries.

The case was adjourned for a trial, which is due to start at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, 09 December 2014, and is expected to last seven days.
