Man jailed for two burglaries - Oxford

On Friday, 13 September 2013, a man appeared at Oxford Crown Court and was convicted and jailed for two burglaries in Oxford.

Alan Goodman, aged 30, of Luther Street, Oxford, had pleaded not guilty to both offences, but a jury found him unanimously guilty following a trial and he was sentenced to four years in prison.

Overnight between 20 and 21 April, Goodman forced entry into a dwelling in Percy Street, Cowley.  Once inside, Goodman stole a mobile phone, laptop, car keys, and a pair of gloves.

Goodman also carried out a burglary at another dwelling in Gibbs Crescent in central Oxford on 21 April, during which he stole a laptop.
