Man jailed for stabbing neighbour - Reading


A man has been sentenced to two years in prison for stabbing a neighbour at a property in Reading earlier this year.

Anthony Garraway, 24, was sentenced on Monday, 08 July 2013, at Reading Crown Court after pleading guilty to committing the grievous bodily harm, which occurred at his home address in George Street, Reading on the night of 14/15 February.

At around midnight on 14 February, Garraway was playing music, when a neighbour complained. An argument and scuffle ensued and Garraway stabbed the man.

Garraway left the property, but was arrested by police the following day, 15 February.

The victim suffered superficial lacerations to his left ear and stab wounds to his left thigh. He received hospital treatment and was subsequently discharged.
