Man jailed for sexual offences - Oxford


A man appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, Monday, 06 October 2014, and was jailed for 13 and a half years for sexual offences including rape.

Craig Preston, aged 30, of Bulan Road, Oxford, was unanimously found guilty by a jury at Oxford Crown Court on 18 August of two counts of rape of a girl under 13, attempted rape of a female under 16, and six counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14.

He was sentenced to a total of 13 and a half years imprisonment - ten years for each count of rape and one to two years in prison for each of the indecent assaults, each of which will run concurrently, and a further 3 and half years for attempted rape.

The offences took place between July 1998 and December 2013 in Marcham against two victims.
