Man jailed for rape of 14-year-old girl - Slough

A 24-year-old man from Slough appeared at Reading Crown Court on Friday, 04 October 2013, and was jailed for 12 years for the rape, attempted rape, and sexual grooming of a 14-year-old girl.

Harjaskaran Singh, of Trelawney Avenue, Langley, Slough, pleaded guilty to the three charges at Reading Crown Court on 26 July.

He was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment, to serve a minimum of eight years, with an extended licence of four years.  He will be placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.

This case relates to an incident, which occurred on Saturday, 13 April this year, where after a period of grooming, Singh took the girl to his house in Slough where he plied her with alcohol before sexually assaulting her.

He fled the scene afterwards and was located in West London three days later.
