Man jailed for non-recent child sexual offences - Iver, Bucks


A man appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court today, Monday, 22 December 2014, and was jailed for eight years and four months for non-recent sexual offences against four boys.

Gifford Hugh Jones, aged 79, formerly of Mole Road, Sindlesham, was sentenced after pleading guilty on 15 September to nine counts of indecent assault on a boy under the age of 14 years and five counts of gross indecency with a boy under the age of 14 years.

The offences relate to four boys, who were aged between six and nine, during the 1970s and 1980s at Dromenagh boarding School, Seven Hills Road, Iver, which subsequently closed in 1996.  Jones was a houseparent at the school.
