Man jailed for drugs offences - Slough

A man from Slough was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Thursday, 21 February 2013, to four years imprisonment for drugs offences.

Ismail Khan, aged 21, of Richmond Crescent, Slough, was found guilty by a jury of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A - heroin, and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A - cocaine.

While police officers were on patrol in the area of Kings Meadow, Reading, on 03 May 2012, they noticed small groups entering a wooded area.  Officers went into the area and saw the defendant exchange an item with a female, who ran off.

The defendant was seen to throw a green plastic bag, which was recovered and found to contain 31 wraps of crack cocaine, and 139 wraps of heroin.
