Man jailed for child sexual offences - Banbury

A man appeared at Oxford Crown Court yesterday, Wednesday, 14 January 2015, and was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to sexual activity with a child.

Michael Rowan, aged 23, of Hart Close in Banbury, pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court on 03 November 2014, to 19 counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography, and one count of making indecent photographs of a child.

The offences relate to three teenage girls and were committed between April 2009 and February 2010.

He was sentenced to four years imprisonment, given a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years, and was placed on the Sex Offenders' Register for life.
