Man jailed for child sex offences - Reading


A 55-year-old man has today, Friday, 12 October 2012, been jailed at Reading Crown Court for 5-years for committing sexual offences against children in the early 1990s.

John Howard, of Sayers Court, Orton, Goldhay, Peterborough, was sentenced after admitting three counts of indecent assault and four counts of gross indecency.

The charges relate to four victims, all boys aged between 12 and 14-years-old. The offences were mainly committed in Reading, but also other locations including Langley and Camber Sands, East Sussex, between 1990 and 1993.

Howard was first arrested in August 2011 and then again in January 2012. He was charged with the offences in June 2012.
