Man jailed for child sex offences - Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire

A 65-year-old man was today, Friday, 17 May 2013, sentenced at Oxford Crown Court to 12 years imprisonment for sexual offences against four underage girls.

Anthony Sydney Ford of Magpie Road, Sulgrave, Oxfordshire, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child, with two girls aged seven and 13.

He was found guilty by a jury of seven counts of indecent assault, two counts of indecency with a child, and one count of sexual intercourse with a child, relating to a further two girls, between the ages of six and 14.

The offences took place in Oxfordshire,  Berkshire and Northamptonshire, between November 1980 and April 2012. Ford was charged on 20 July 2012.

Ford was sentenced to 12 years in prison and has been placed on the Sex Offenders' Register indefinitely.
