Man found guilty of murder - Didcot

A man has today, Thursday, 24 July 2014, been found guilty at Oxford Crown Court of the murder of 17-year-old Jayden Parkinson.

Ben Blakeley, aged 22, of Christchurch Road, Reading, was found guilty by a majority verdict.

Jayden was killed and then buried in a church graveyard in Didcot, Oxfordshire, last December.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Ben Blakeley has today been convicted of the murder of Jayden Parkinson.

"The jury continue to deliberate in relation to Jake Blakeley. Therefore, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage. The CPS will be in a position to say more after Ben Blakeley has been sentenced and the jury have finished their deliberations."
