Man found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving - Reading

A 25-year-old man was yesterday, Tuesday, 12 March 2013, found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving.

Aadil Asghar, of Rosedale Crescent, Earley, Reading, was convicted after a seven day trial at Reading Crown Court.

On 21 March 2012, Asghar was driving his white Audi A1 along the bus lane on the A329 Kings Road, Reading. He was in excess of the 30mph speed limit when he struck and killed a 12-year-old boy at a pedestrian crossing.

The jury took less than two hours to reach a unanimous guilty verdict.

Asghar has been released on bail and will be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on 11 April 2013.
