Man convicted of prison assault - Milton Keynes


A man appeared at Amersham Crown Court today, Monday, 01 September 2014, and pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) in connection with an incident at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes.

Charles Bronson, aged 61, of HMP Woodhill was sentenced to a further two years imprisonment.

Shortly before 8am on Friday, 28 February, Bronson held the governor of HMP Woodhill, Alan Parkins, in a headlock. He held him so tight that Mr Parkins was unable to breathe.  Bronson also struck him several times on the head.

Several prison officers came to the defence of the governor and Bronson was restrained.

Mr Parkins suffered bruising to his shoulder and arm, abrasions to his face and a nose bleed.
