Man convicted of child sexual offences - Bracknell


A man was today, Friday, 08 May 2015, convicted at Reading Crown Court of a number of sexual offences against children in Bracknell.

Simon McLaren-Tosh, aged 49, of Bracknell Road, Warfield, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual assault on children under 13 years of age, one count of voyeurism involving a number of victims and five counts of making/possession of indecent images of children.

The sexual assaults were committed against three girls aged under 13 in Bracknell between 21 April and 20 August 2014. The offences of voyeurism and possession of indecent images relate to the period between January 2010 and August 2014.

Mclaren-Tosh was arrested on 12 May 2014, on suspicion of possessing indecent images.  A subsequent examination of his computer revealed assaults against children that were filmed.  Also on the computer were voyeurism videos of people, who were unaware they were being filmed, plus several indecent images of children.

He was arrested on 23 February 2015, for these assaults and the voyeurism offences. A further search was conducted at his home on this day, a laptop was seized from him and he was interviewed and bailed.

An examination of the laptop identified a further sexual assault that was filmed. Further examination of exhibits seized from the search identified more voyeurism videos and indecent photographs.

McLaren-Tosh will be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, 12 June 2015.
