Man charged with woman's murder - Slough

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a man with murder.

Imran Sharif, aged 44, of Hillersdon in Slough, has been charged with the  murder of 45-year-old Raheela Imran, who was found dead at a property in Hillersdon, Slough on Monday, 20 October 2014.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Imran Sharif.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge the man with murder.

"The charge relates to the death of 45-year-old Raheela Imran in Slough on Monday, 20 October.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Mr Sharif was remanded in police custody to appear at Slough Magistrates' Court today, Friday, 24 October 2014.

Criminal proceedings are active and defendants have the right to a fair trial. It is extremely important that there should be no commentary or reporting which could in any way prejudice these proceedings.
