Man charged with murder - Milton Keynes

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a man with the murder of a man in Milton Keynes.

Mohammed Noor, aged 33, from Milton Keynes, was charged yesterday evening, Wednesday, 14 September 2016, with murder.

The charge is in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 13 September 2016, at a property in Osprey Close, Eaglestone during which a man was shot. He was taken to the Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was declared dead just after 7am.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Mohammed Noor.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Mohammed Noor with murder.

"The charge is in connection with an incident, which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 13 September 2016, at a property in Osprey Close, Eaglestone during which a man was shot. He was taken to the Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was declared dead just after 7am.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Noor has been remanded in police custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday, 15 September 2016.
