Man charged with murder - Marlow

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a man with the murder of a woman in Marlow.

Tautvydas Narbutas, aged 23, of Chiltern Avenue, High Wycombe, was charged last night, Tuesday, 12 July 2016, having been arrested last Wednesday, 06 July 2016.

The charge is in connection with the death of Albertina Choules, aged 81, who was found deceased at her property in Ragmans Lane, Marlow on Wednesday, 06 July 2016.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Tautvydas Narbutas.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Tautvydas Narbutas with murder.

"The charge is in connection with the death of Albertina Choules, aged 81, who was found deceased at her property in Ragmans Lane, Marlow on Wednesday, 06 July 2016.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Narbutas has been remanded in police custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 13 July 2016.
