Man charged with handling stolen goods from car plant

A man from Oxford has been charged with handling 23 stolen amplifiers from BMW Mini Group car plant in Oxford, following advice from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Thames Valley Police were advised by the Aylesbury office of CPS Thames Valley to charge Safouane Selatnia (39), a former employee of the car plant.

CPS charging lawyer, Rachel Sheppard, said: 'I can confirm that I have advised police to charge Mr Selatnia with handling stolen goods, in relation to a quantity of amplifiers that were found at his home in Littlemore on 2 December 2010. These items have been traced directly to BMW Mini Group, where he was formerly an employee.

'Mr Selatnia is due to appear at Oxford magistrates' court on 8 March.'
