Man charged with firearms offences - Luton

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Bedfordshire Police to charge an 18-year-old man with firearms offences.

Roshaan MALCOLM of Dewsbury Road, Luton has today, Wednesday, 12 June 2013, been charged with three offences as follows:

  • Possession of a shortened shotgun on 11 June 2013
  • Possession of an imitation firearm in a public place, namely the rear of Dewsbury Road, Luton on 11 June 2013
  • Possession of an imitation firearm in a public place, namely Thrales Close, Luton on 31 May 2013.

The charges are part of the on-going investigation by Bedfordshire Police into gun related crime, codenamed Operation Boson.

MALCOLM has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear before Luton Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Thursday, 13 June 2013.
