Man charged with Adrian Greenwood murder - Oxford

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a man with murder in Oxford.

Michael Danaher, aged 50, of Hadrians Court, Peterborough, was charged yesterday, Tuesday, 12 April 2016, with murder.

The charge is in connection with the death of Adrian Greenwood, aged 42, who was found deceased inside his property in Iffley Road, Oxford, last Thursday, 07 April 2016.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Michael Danaher.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Michael Danaher with murder.

"The charge is in connection with the death of Adrian Greenwood, aged 42, who was found deceased inside his property in Iffley Road, Oxford, last Thursday, 07 April 2016.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Danaher has been remanded in police custody to appear at Banbury Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 13 April 2016.
