Further man charged with child sex offences - Aylesbury

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge another man (twelfth) with child sexual offences including rape.

Farrukh Bashir, aged 42, of Westwood Walk, Aylesbury was charged today, Thursday, 02 October 2014, with two charges of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15, arranging/facilitating the prostitution/involvement in pornography of a child aged 13-17, and conspiracy to rape a girl aged 13/14/15.

The charges relate to one complainant and the incidents allegedly occurred in the Aylesbury area in 2008.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Farrukh Bashir.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge the man with four sexual offences including rape.

"The charges relate to one complainant and the incidents allegedly occurred in the Aylesbury area in 2008.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Bashir was remanded in police custody to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court today, 02 October 2014.
