Fourth person charged with murder - Milton Keynes

Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a fourth person with the murder of a man in Milton Keynes.

Prashanth Thevarasa, aged 23, of Farrier place, Downs Barn, Milton Keynes, was charged yesterday, Tuesday, 24 January 2017, with murder.

Adrian Foster, Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against Prashanth Thevarasa.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge Thevarasa with murder.

"The charge is in connection with the death of Suren Sivananthan, aged 32, who was found deceased in St Leger Drive, Great Linford, Milton Keynes just after 4am on Saturday, 21 January 2017.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Thevarasa was remanded in police custody to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 25 January 2017.
