Five men sentenced for assault - Watford

Five men have today, Friday, 12 October 2012, been sentenced at St Albans Crown Court, to a total of 20-years and 8-months imprisonment in connection with a vicious attack in Watford in the early hours of 30 October 2011.

At around 2.30pm a fight involving a large group of people broke out on the ground floor of the Gade Car Park. The victim, who was 21-years-old at the time and from Edgeware, was punched unconscious before being kicked and hit over the head with a waste bin.

Four defendants had pleaded guilty at St Albans Crown Court, the fifth was found guilty following a trial on 31 July 2012, also at St Albans Crown Court.

They have been sentenced as follows:

21-year-old Craig Silvera from Hillside in High Wycombe, has been sentenced to a total of 45-months at a Young Offenders institution;

20-year-old Ryan Monrose from Stoll Close in Cricklewood, London, has been sentenced to 32-months at a Young Offenders institution;

20-year-old Fawwazz Momoh from Vernon Road in Fletham was sentenced to 15-months at a Young Offenders institution;

20-year-old Kyle Monrose from Carylle Road in Ealing has been sentenced to 4-years at a Young Offenders institution;

20-year-old Jahzeel Lewis, who is of no fixed address, has been sentenced to 9-years at a Young Offenders institution.
