Fifth man charged with murder - Windsor


Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge a fifth man in connection with a murder, which occurred in Windsor in July.

Police were called to an altercation between a group of men in Barry Avenue, Windsor at 3.09am on Sunday, 28 July.

During the incident 24-year-old Sean Noctor received a single stab wound to the body and later died of his injury at Wexham Park Hospital, Slough.

George Hay, aged 26, of Jasper Avenue, London, has been charged with murder, and violent disorder.

Ruth Bowskill, Temporary Chief Crown Prosecutor for Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said: "Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a file was forwarded to us to consider whether any criminal charges could be brought against George Hay.

"Having carefully reviewed all of the available evidence, Thames and Chiltern CPS authorised officers from Thames Valley Police to charge the man with murder and violent disorder.

"The charges are in relation to an incident, which occurred in Windsor on Sunday, 28 July 2013.

"The decision to charge was taken in accordance with the Code for Crown Prosecutors."

Hay has been remanded in police custody to appear before Slough Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 30 October 2013.

Four other men have been charged with murder in relation to this investigation and are due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on Friday, 01 November 2013. They are:

  • Benjamin Brooks, aged 21, of The Chilterns, Leighton Buzzard
  • Jordan Doyle, aged 21, of Kimberley Close, Luton
  • Harry Turney, aged 20, of Orion Way, Leighton Buzzard
  • Lahin Miah, aged 26, of Windsor Road, Leighton Buzzard.

There is an accent over the 'A' in Sean.
