Drug dealer jailed - Croxley Green

A man stopped in a car by police officers in Croxley Green was found to have wraps of cocaine on him.

Damian Bowell, 39, had around 20 grams of the Class A drug and £159 in cash.

At St Albans Crown Court on Friday, 01 November 2013, he paid the price when he was jailed for three years.

Bowell of Aviation Avenue, Hatfield, appeared for sentence having been convicted of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.

The court heard Bowell had previously had a good job as a senior manager with Tesco, but his addiction to cocaine had seen him lose everything.

In court on Friday it was said he had supplied the drug to fund his own habit.

It was on 17 October last year that police officers stopped a silver Jaguar car, Bowell was a passenger in, on The Green in Croxley Green. Officers found the wraps of cocaine and the money on him.

At the time he was subject to a community order for driving whilst disqualified.
