Doctor charged with indecent assault - Shefford


Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Bedfordshire Police to charge a man with indecent assault.

Doctor Robert Lewis, aged 48, of Northbridge Street, Shefford, has been charged with eight charges of indecent assault.

The charges relate to pre-employment medicals carried out during the period of 1999-2003. The relevant medical governing bodies are aware of the investigation.

Doctor Lewis has been released on police bail to appear at Bedford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 03 December 2013.
