Thames and Chiltern Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has authorised officers from Bedfordshire Police to charge a man with Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) with intent.

The charge is in connection with an incident, which occurred at a barn party in Begwary where three men received serious injuries.  The three victims, who were stabbed, remain in hospital; one is critically ill.

The incident occurred at around 2.30am on Sunday, 13 October, in a farm building in the remote village of Begwary on the Bedfordshire Cambridgeshire border. The victims, all aged in their early 20s and from Bedford were with friends at the party, which police believe was attended by around 200 people.

Liam Daniels, aged 18, of Bedford, has been charged with Section 18 GBH with intent of one of the victims.

Daniels has been remanded in custody to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday, 17 October 2013.

A third man, arrested in connection with this incident, has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
