Man jailed for kidnapping and sexually assaulting teenage girls in Bracknell

A man was jailed at Reading Crown Court on 15 October for sex attacks on teenage girls in Bracknell. Michael Bryant, 41, from Tottenham, London, was given an indeterminate sentence with a minimum tariff of seven years; minus 133 days he has already spent in custody. On 3 September, Bryant had pleaded guilty to 14 charges relating to offences he had committed during November 2009 and May 2010.

Guilty plea for overseas child abuser

A man from Watford has today (Friday, 8 October) pleaded guilty to a series of disturbing child abuse offences which took place in India after he callously 'befriended' a poor family and took advantage of their vulnerability. It is the first time in Hertfordshire that a local resident has been charged with an offence of sexually abusing a child who lives overseas.

At a hearing last Friday, 17 September, at the Old Bailey, Jason McIntyre (35), of Stockwell Road, London, received five years and six months imprisonment plus an extended licence period of 4 years. The sentence will be reduced by 196 days for the time already served on remand.

On 13 September at Oxford Crown Court, Rhoda Sibanda (31) from Bracknell pleaded guilty during her trial to two counts of sexual activity with a person with a mental disorder by a care worker.
