Man sentenced for killing friend
Today at Stafford Crown Court Zenon Garbaty, 29, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Przemyslaw Humaniak, 30, following an incident on the evening of the 1st November 2009 in Burton upon Trent and was sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

Man guilty of murdering wife
Today at Birmingham Crown Court Simon Downer, 32, was found guilty of murdering his wife Tracey Downer at their home in Tamworth on 20 June 2009.

CPS Charging Decision: Aliu Adeyemo
Senior lawyers from the Staffordshire Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) have authorised officers from Staffordshire Police to charge Aliu Adeyemo with the manslaughter of David Churchman.

Three convicted of conspiring to run brothel
Today at Stafford Crown Court Robert Worrall, Sandra Williams, and Simon Worrall were convicted of conspiring together with Philip Kilday to set up and run a brothel, Philip Kilday had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

Today, at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, Martin Hampton was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment for causing the death of Daniel Bromley by dangerous driving.

Three sentenced for robberies
Today at Stoke on Trent Crown Court Paul Birks, Jamie Caddick and Michael Caddick were all jailed for 6 years for two offences of robbery and one of aggravated taking of a vehicle.

Taxi driver guilty of causing death by dangerous driving

At Birmingham Crown Court today Carl Keatley, 20 and Jordon Carroll, 16 were convicted of the Murder of Michael Eccles in Lichfield on 25th Jan this year. A third offender Edward Carroll was found guilty of acts intended to pervert the course of justice

Ben Brough Acquitted of Murder
Benjamin Brough was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to Mrs Hopkinson in May 2006 and as a result of this conviction he was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.

No criminal proceedings to be brought against two men following citizen's arrest
