CPS Staffordshire, together with the other criminal justice agencies, is now bringing more offences to justice. To achieve this we are working more closely with the police to build strong cases, and providing better support for victims and witnesses throughout the prosecution process.
We understand the lasting effects that crime and especially hate crime can have on individuals and communities and in the past year we have taken rigorous steps to improve the way we prosecute these crimes.
Over the past year our conviction rate for Domestic Violence has risen by 43% since the introduction of our Specialist Domestic Violence Courts and specialist prosecutors.
