Two Gloucester men charged with murder

30/11/2013

The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised Gloucestershire police to charge two men with the murder of Victor McDermot in Gloucester.

Nicola Haywood, Head of the CPS South West Complex Casework Unit said: "I have today authorised Gloucestershire police to charge Simon Boswell, aged 48, and Andrew Harding, 44, with the murder of Victor McDermot.

"Victor's body was found by a member of the public in a car park in Gloucester city centre in the morning of Thursday 28 November. Officers worked quickly and the defendants were arrested shortly afterwards. I have decided that there is sufficient evidence to charge Simon Boswell and Andrew Harding and that it is in the public interest to do so.

"The CPS will continue to work closely with Gloucestershire police to prepare the case for court."

Simon Boswell and Andrew Harding will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on Monday 2 December
