New structure for CPS South West

01/04/2011

From 1 April, the CPS in the South West will be operating under a new structure.

The former CPS Areas of Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire have merged to form one Area to be known as CPS South West.

The Area will be run by Chief Crown Prosecutor (CCP) Barry Hughes, formerly the CCP for Avon and Somerset. He will be supported by Area Business Manager Sarah Trevelyan.

Victoria Cook and Tracy Easton, CCPs for Gloucestershire and Devon and Cornwall, respectively, will now work across the South West as Deputy CCPs.

The new structure will enable us to work across county borders in a more flexible way, offering greater efficiency and effectiveness.

We will continue to work with police and other partners across the three constabulary areas of Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire.
