CPS authorise two people to be charged with conspiracy to murder Catherine Wells-Burr

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised Avon and Somerset Constabulary to charge Anna Lagwinowicz, 32 and Rafal Nowak, 31 with conspiracy to murder Catherine Wells-Burr, 23 from Chard in Somerset.

The body of Catherine Wells-Burr was found near Ilminster in Somerset early in the morning on Wednesday 12 September.

Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor, Tracy Easton, said: "Having reviewed this case in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, I have decided that there is sufficient evidence to charge Anna Lagwinowicz and Rafal Nowak with conspiracy to murder. The police investigation into the circumstances surrounding Catherine's death is ongoing. The CPS is working closely with the police on this case and will continue to do so."

Both defendants appeared this week at Bristol Magistrates' court and were ordered to appear at Bristol Crown Court at a later date.
