Jordan Sweetlove jailed for brutal rape

Jordan Sweetlove, 25, who was living in a bail hostel in Filton at the time of the offence, has been jailed for four years after pleading guilty to two rapes at Bristol Crown Court.

The court heard how Jordan Sweetlove raped his victim twice, in her own home, despite his victim telling him not to.

Judge Ian Lawrie QC told him: "You recognize you behaved in an appalling way. You also recognized you caused harm to your victim. By pleading guilty you have elevated the uncertainty of this case going to trial."

CPS South West, Senior Crown Prosecutor Lesley Ness said: "This was a brutal attack in the victimís home; a place where she should have felt safe."

Sweetlove was told to register as a sex offender for life and was handed a restraining order to stay away from his victim until further notice.

Lesley added: "I hope this conviction shows we take all reports of rape and sexual assault seriously and will do everything we can to bring offenders to justice."
