CPS authorise police to charge father and son with the murder of Paul Retallick

The CPS has authorised Avon and Somerset Constabulary to charge Lee McGinty, 25, and his father, Michael McGinty, 55, with the murder of Paul Retallick, 35, in Langport, Somerset, on the evening of Sunday 16 September.

District Crown Prosecutor, Jonathan Richards, said: "Having reviewed this case in line with the Code for Crown Prosecutors, I have decided that there is sufficient evidence to charge Lee and Michael McGinty with murder."

The defendants, who are both from Langport, appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' court on Wednesday 19 September. They have been remanded in custody and the case has been adjourned for a Crown Court hearing at a later date.
