Three men who were found guilty by a jury at Exeter Crown Court yesterday have today been sentenced to a total of 61 years.

Abdirahman Abukar, aged 19, of Alum Rock Road, Birmingham, was sentenced to 23 years, Abdirahman Kadir, 21, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 23 years and Ibrahim Mohammed, 18, was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Exeter Crown Court today. A fourth member Amber Olivia will be sentenced tomorrow (Wednesday).

Handing down lengthy sentences, Judge Mercer QC said: "You are all young men with your lives ahead of you. You are all young men with potential but the three of you were in Exeter in the early part of February for one reason and one reason alone - to supply Class A drugs and to make as much money as possible for doing so."

CPS South West Allie Longhorn, Head of Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit added: "I hope the significant sentences imposed today are some comfort to the victims, and also demonstrates to the wider local community that the police and CPS take these offences very seriously."
