CPS South West
The Crown Prosecution Service is an independent Government organisation set up in 1986 to prosecute criminal cases investigated by the police in England and Wales.
CPS South West is headed by Chief Crown Prosecutor, Barry Hughes and covers the police force areas of Gloucestershire, Avon and Somerset and Devon and Cornwall. We employ approximately 320 staff and have offices in Gloucester, Bristol, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. We prosecute around 51,000 cases each year at 6 Crown Courts and 17 Magistrates' courts up and down the region
