Roger Coe-Salazar: Chief Crown Prosecutor for KentRoger Coe-Salazar: Chief Crown Prosecutor for the South East Area

Roger was appointed Chief Crown Prosecutor (CCP) for Kent and strategic lead for the South East in 2007.

He joined the CPS in 1999 and prosecuted predominantly in London prior to taking up posts as Chief Crown Prosecutor for Gloucestershire, then Devon and Cornwall and now Kent.

He has particular interest in cross-border crime and prosecuted one of the first high profile human trafficking cases in the UK, as well as spending time in Iraq as the Attorney General's representative with the Coalition Provisional Authority. Roger is a member of the International Advisory Group as the UK representative for a United Nations project to modernise the prosecution services of the Arab States. He also has a national lead as the CPS representative on the Forensic Science Advisory Council.

Roger was awarded the OBE in the 2004 honours list.

Portia Ragnauth: Depty Chief Crown Prosecutor for SurreyPortia Ragnauth: Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor

Portia joined the CPS in the 1980s following a career as a practising barrister specialising in family and defence work. She was based in the London Area and held a variety of positions including Trial Unit Head, Branch Crown Prosecutor and District Crown Prosecutor prior to taking up the post of Chief Crown Prosecutor for Durham and then joining the former CPS Surrey as Chief Crown Prosecutor.

Portia is the South East Group lead for Proceeds of Crime and from April 2008 has been the Chair of the Surrey Criminal Justice Board.

Jaswant Narwal: Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for SussexJaswant Narwal: Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor

Jaswant was appointed Chief Crown Prosecutor of the former CPS Sussex in June 2010.

She is a barrister and joined the CPS in 1989 and held various roles from Law Clerk to District Crown Prosecutor for the Old Bailey Trials Unit, which she held for nearly three years. Jaswant piloted the Victim Advocacy Scheme at the Old Bailey in 1998, which led to the national rollout of the Victim Focus Scheme. She was appointed CCP for Lincolnshire in 2007 and is currently the national lead for the CPS on victims and witnesses.

CPS Kent Area Business Manager Julie HeronJulie Heron: Area Business Manager

Julie joined CPS South Wales in 1987, spending twelve years in the Cardiff office undertaking all aspects of casework and managerial roles. She then spent three years as an Associate Prosecutor before moving into a Business Manager role in 2002.

As a member of the National Charging Programme office, Julie was responsible for coordinating the move to Statutory Charging across Wales and the South West.

Julie became an ABM in 2005, working in Norfolk and Devon and Cornwall before moving to her current role as Senior Area Business Manager for the South East. In the last five years she has delivered wholesale change in her Areas, including charging, restructuring, delivering efficiency savings, improving an inspectorate rating from poor to good and setting up the Group Operations Centre in the South East.
