Work Experience

CPS South Yorkshire offers both secondary school and degree students the chance to experience both the work of the Crown Prosecution Service and the Criminal Justice System. Placements are both limited and highly sought after in the busy holiday periods.

Applying for university work experience

CPS South Yorkshire runs a summer vacation scheme for university students. We ask all students to complete an application form and use this information to offer placements.

The closing date for the Summer 2008 scheme has now passed and all places have now been filled.

Please note that the Summer 2009 scheme will be available from late November 2008.

Applying for school work experience

If you are a school student who would like work experience with the CPS please write a letter stating why you are interested in working for the CPS. Please include the dates you are available for work and the school you are attending. Letters should be sent either by email or post to the contact details below.
