Three Men Charged With Murder of Taxi Driver

18/07/2007

Ian Keates, Special Casework Lawyer, South Yorkshire Crown Prosecution Service has announced.

"I have authorised the police to charge David Cohen, Ashley Cohen and Ramzan Mirza with, between 12 March and 15 March 2007, conspiring to murder Younis Khan.  We will continue to keep this case under constant review as it develops.

All three will be appearing at Sheffield Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 18 July 2007).

"I would like to remind all of the need to take care in reporting events surrounding these alleged charges. These individuals are only accused of these offences and they have a right to a fair trial.

It is extremely important that there should be responsible media reporting which should not prejudice the due process of law."
