New Website for CPS South Yorkshire
24/05/2006
CPS South Yorkshire is today (Wednesday 24 May 2006) officially launching its new website. The website is designed to provide the people of South Yorkshire with easy access to information on both the CPS and the criminal justice system as a whole.
By logging onto www.cps.gov.uk/south_yorkshire people will be able to find out what their local CPS does, read news releases issued by CPS South Yorkshire, hear about the work we do in our community and access information about both current job vacancies and work experience opportunities.
Over time the website will grow to include information on successful cases, further information for victims and witnesses, and performance figures for CPS South Yorkshire.
Judith Walker, Chief Crown Prosecutor said: I am delighted that we now have this new way of communicating with the people of South Yorkshire. The website will provide members of the community with the opportunity to easily download literature and access information.
We are also hoping that the website will encourage people living in South Yorkshire to find out about the events CPS currently attends in the community. If members of the public would like a CPS spokesperson to talk at a community meeting, join in a discussion or attend an event then our contact details are on the website or you can call us on 0114 229 8600.
