Annex B: Guidance issued by the Director
The Director of Public Prosecutions has issued guidance under Section 37A(1) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1985 as amended by the Criminal Justice Act 2003, as follows;
- The Directors Guidance on Charging (First and Second Edition) plus a third version, which added the new Terrorism Act to Annex A second edition.
- The Directors Guidance on making charging decisions in Persistent Youth Offender Cases, operational in the pathfinder sites of Southampton and Ipswich only.
- The Directors Guidance on Conditional Cautioning, bringing Conditional Cautioning into operation in the early implementation sites.
