The Bar/CPS Standard for Communication between Victim, Witness and the Prosecuting Advocate, published in February 2006, encourages engagement between the prosecutor and victim groups and witnesses during the court process. Developed through partnership with the Bar and Law Society together with other interested parties, it underlines the principles contained in the Attorney General's Guidelines on the Acceptance of Pleas and the Prosecution Role in the Sentencing Exercise 2005.
